	A passion of mine is nature. I enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible to enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty. I also enjoy teaching others the art of photography. It is inspiring to work with students that are excited to learn new skills and are full of creative energy. This energy helps fuel new ideas and excitement for my photography.
A lot of people ask what equipment I use to take and process my photographs. I use both film and digital. I find each is better at certain task. I enjoy using my large format camera for landscape and still nature photography. The movement a large format camera has allows me to control every aspect of the photography. Digital, however, is a great tool for teaching and for portraits. The instant feedback from the view screen is helpful in explaining new techniques to students.
I hope you enjoy viewing my photographs as much as I enjoy taking them. One of the goals of my photography is to encourage people to get outdoors and enjoy the nature that is all around us.
